  • Engage across multiple technology delivery teams, business units, stakeholders, infrastructure teams, vendors, and other supporting parties to ensure software development initiatives are delivered successfully to meet strategic goals and business requirements
  • Assist delivery team leadership in developing accurate estimates, resource allocations, and timelines for software development initiatives
  • Assist delivery team leadership in the management and control of day-to-day execution of software development initiatives, including tasks in areas such as planning, financial management, risk and dependency management, change management, risk and issue escalation, testing and acceptance, release planning and coordination, warranty, documentation, ongoing support, metrics collection, and status reporting
  • Facilitate meeting cadence and deliverables
  • Shield delivery teams from outside distractions and interferences
  • Assist delivery team leadership in prioritization, planning, and task allocation of software development resources
  • Assist delivery team leadership in the creation and maintenance of deliverables such as project charters and plans, staffing plans, communication plans, work breakdown structures, detailed project schedules, issue and risk assessment, budgets, resource allocations, and change management plans
  • Assist delivery team leadership in the enforcement of standards for functional requirements, technical designs, and test results to ensure that development deliverables and activities adhere to organizational guidelines
  • Identify, escalate, and track cross-team dependencies to ensure they are well understood
  • Assist delivery team leadership in fixing project discrepancies, overlaps, stalled workflows, and other issues due to internal roadblocks or unforeseen external setbacks
  • Collect and analyze project status and metrics, and communicate project health to stakeholders
  • Assist delivery team leadership in planning upcoming software development initiatives
  • Capture and communicate meeting minutes when appropriate

Yêu cầu công việc

  • 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in a custom software development environment directly interacting with software development teams;
  • Agile Scrum Master Certification and hands-on usage of Agile Work Item Tracking tools such as Atlassian Jira
  • Experience in facilitating meetings and documenting minutes for meetings such as daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo, and sprint retrospective
  • Experience collecting and reporting on sprint status and metrics
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to enable and motivate project teams
  • Excellent verbal and written skills to effectively communicate in the English language
  • Superior planning, organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills utilizing tools such as PowerPoint
  • Comfort in engaging with senior-level business leadership as well as software development staff

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business management, or equivalent
  • Experience with other development life cycle methodologies, particularly Waterfall
  • Experience within the Energy/Utility industry
  • Experience in DevOps and production support environments
  • Hands-on development of planning/management deliverables
  • Experience developing estimates, resource allocations, and timelines
  • Experience working with external vendors and service providers
  • Skilled in diagramming and flow charting utilizing tools such as Visio and Lucid Charts
  • Working knowledge of SQL, C#, .NET, Java or other programming languages/concepts
  • Knowledge of Program Management and Portfolio Management concepts
  • Experience with managing projects involving any of the following concepts:  EDI and other data transfer technologies, Service-Oriented Architecture or Microservices, User experience/interface of client-facing web applications, Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence
