Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Proficiency in Java/Kotlin for Android development and Swift/Objective-C for iOS development.
  • Experience with cross-platform development frameworks such as SwiftUI, Xcode, Flutter, and Jetpack Compose may be a plus.
  • Integrating mobile applications with SAP Commerce Cloud services, including product catalogs, pricing, promotions, and checkout processes.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining mobile applications for Android and iOS platforms as part of change requests
  • Collaborating with designers to implement user interfaces that adhere to platform-specific design guidelines (Material Design for Android, Human Interface Guidelines for iOS).
  • Integrating mobile applications with backend services, APIs, and third-party/In-House libraries.
  • Optimizing app performance, memory usage, and responsiveness to deliver a smooth user experience.
  • Writing unit tests, conducting integration tests, and debugging issues to ensure the reliability and stability of mobile applications.
  • Using version control systems such as Git to manage the codebase and collaborate with team members.
  • Leveraging platform-specific features and capabilities such as push notifications, geolocation, cameras, and sensors.
  • Implementing security best practices to protect user data and prevent security vulnerabilities.
  • Creating technical documentation, including app architecture, API documentation, and development guidelines.

  • Staying up to date with the latest mobile development trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Ability to analyze requirements, propose solutions, and troubleshoot issues independently.

  •  Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures related to the e-commerce platform. Keep documentation up to date to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to users and support team members on using the e-commerce platform effectively, troubleshooting common issues, and following best practices.

Job Requirement

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • Good experience in using SQL commands, data management practices in cloud environments.
  • Should be flexible to work on shift basis.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, technologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues and implementing solutions.
  • Experience with various ITIL processes.
  • Japanese citizens and those authorized to work in Japan are encouraged to apply. We are unable to sponsor at this time.
  • Fluent Japanese skills, with business-level English skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer communication and coordination capabilities.
  • Strong experience and understanding of various software development life cycle models and phases.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to deliver high-quality support services. Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment.
  • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
  • Understanding of SLAs and experience in meeting SLA requirements for application availability, performance, and support response times.
  • Knowledge in SAP Commerce cloud/MS Azure/Kubernetes and web technologies like Java, Spring framework, Angular, REST API, Apache Solr, Ingress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript etc. is a plus.
