Job Description

Role Summary: We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role bridges the gap between Development (Dev) and Operations (Ops), improving and shortening the systems development life cycle, reducing time-to-market, while ensuring high quality. You will ensure the availability and reliability of all IT systems and services.
What You Will Do:
● Participate in developing, deploying, monitoring, operating, and governing IT systems.
● Deploy software systems to AWS Cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes platform.
● Work with developers and project teams to ensure code quality and alignment with
deployment strategy.
● Identify potential technical issues and provide early feedback to the project lead/DevOps lead.
● Collaborate with the operations team to ensure system availability and reliability.
● Support the operations team with production issues using logging, monitoring, and tracing
systems and expertise.
● Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure.
● Periodically monitor, report, upgrade, and propose ways to optimize existing IT systems.
● Evaluate current systems and processes periodically and propose improvements.
● Be directly involved in developing internal systems and automated tools.

Job Requirement

● Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
● 1+ years of experience in Containerization and/or Cloud Computing for Junior level.
● 3+ years of experience in Containerization and/or Cloud Computing for Middle level.
● Candidates with AWS or Kubernetes certificates are prioritized.
● Proficiency in at least one programming language and its framework (Java - Spring, JS – React are preferred, but other alternatives are welcomed).
● Experience in Linux and writing bash scripting is preferred.
● Experience with Nginx, Apache, or other alternatives.
● Experience working with Git, GitLab, or GitHub.
● Strong understanding of Docker and its core concepts.
● Basic understanding of Kubernetes, with certification as an advantage.
● Good understanding of AWS fundamentals and experience working with a cloud provider, not limited to AWS (certification is an advantage).
● Knowledge of OSI, HTTPS, DNS, SSH is required.
● Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD workflow is recommended.

● Experience with any logging, monitoring, and tracing framework (Elastic Stack, Prometheus
Stack are preferred).
● Basic knowledge of working in Kanban/Scrum framework.
● System thinking, continuous learning, sharing, and experimentation.
● Strong problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience:
● Experience with Kubernetes (K8s), AWS, GCP, Docker, k0s, Kafka, and data
synchronization.
● Strong foundation in system architecture and DevOps best practices.
● Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes and tools.
● Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team.
● Excellent communication and organizational skills.
