Job Description
- Customer Interaction: Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers, communicating requirements, presenting solutions, and negotiating specifications and project scope.
- System Design & Development: Lead the design and development of automation products based on agreed-upon concepts, providing system sequences and automation methods, and ensuring manufacturability and serviceability. This includes compiling technical documentation (BOM, MCC, schematics, product specifications) and creating presentations.
- Prototype Building & Testing: Lead the engineering team in assembling, wiring, and testing prototype systems, including troubleshooting, calibration, and operational support during Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
- Onsite Support: Provide onsite support for prototype installation and validation at customer sites, including supporting System Acceptance Testing (SAT).
- Continuous Improvement: Design test methods, conduct data analysis, and gather feedback to identify areas for product improvement, enhancing quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Job Requirement
Education: University degree in Mechatronics, Automation, or Robotics.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience providing automation/testing solutions to the electronics or semiconductor industry.
- Proven experience designing automation systems and testing equipment.
- Experience in electrical, mechanical, and optical design for automation machinery.
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- Familiarity with various machining methods, material selection, and surface treatment processes.
- Experience with different system control platforms (PLC, PC-based, SCARA), motion control, sensors, communication protocols, and programming.
- Experience with optical testing, robotic material handling, or wafer processing/testing equipment is a plus.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills in English, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, vendors, and contract manufacturers. Must have strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Proven leadership skills to manage and motivate project teams.
- Strong analytical and statistical skills for troubleshooting and data analysis.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office Suite.
